Tasmania: A State of Learning is a longterm, strategic framework, containing initiatives to help realise the vision for post-Year 10 education and training. The strategy has four key elements: Guaranteeing Futures; Ensuring Essential Literacies; Enhancing Adult Learning; and Building Learning Communities.

The Training Consortium promotes the accessing of training and development services in Tasmania by providing a coordinated response to the training needs of all Tasmanians. It provides the infrastructure to maximise the training dollar and plays a coordinating role in bringing together training providers and the potential training pool. The Training Consortium also facilitates opportunities for sharing of knowledge and expertise across the current 20 member organisations.
