    auDA was formed in April 1999 as the industry self-regulatory body for the .au namespace (Internet domains that end in .au). auDA is a non-profit company.

    The Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) fosters the efficient and effective use of ICT by Australian Government departments and agencies. This site includes recommended standards and guidelines, case studies, scenarios and best practice in achieving interoperability in both technical infrastructure and information systems. Also a reference section on standards, guidelines and organisations.

    The National Archives of Australia promotes good Government recordkeeping and encourages community awareness and use of valuable Commonwealth records.

    SAI Global provides organisations around the world with information services and solutions for managing risk, achieving compliance and driving business improvement, including aggregated access services to Standards; auditing, certifying and registering of products, systems or supply chains; facilitation of good governance and awareness of compliance, ethics and policy issues and provision of training and improvement solutions to help individuals and organisations succeed.

    Standards Australia was established in 1922 and is recognised through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commonwealth Government as the peak non-government standards development body in Australia. It is a company limited by guarantee, with 72 members representing groups interested in the development and application of standards and related products and services.

    The SIF AU project is introducing the Systems Interoperability Framework (SIF) into Australia. It represents a joint effort and commitment by all Australian school systems to develop an Australian implementation. The SIF Association AU will deliver a practical solution to allow vendor products to work together at the school and school system level and make it easier for schools, teachers and education authorities to access the data that they need.

    The project aims to enhance information technology system support for the range of teaching and learning possible in the digital world. The project aims to improve the ability of information technology systems in the schools sector to: operate: support new aspects of teaching, learning and administration made possible in the digital world; and interoperate: work together seamlessly to support teaching, learning and administration.

    The technical standards website is a gateway to standards, protocols and specifications relevant to learning, education and training. The site covers standards of accessibility, access management, architectures, assessment and competencies, collaborative technologies, directory services, enterprise systems, e-portfolios, intellectual property, knowledge, information, content management, learning design, learner profiling, metadata, pervasive computing, portals and portlets, search and vocabularies.
