    Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, or APEC, is the premier forum for facilitating economic growth, cooperation, trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region. Its goal is to advance Asia-Pacific economic dynamism and sense of community. The site provides access to a range of publications, news, business and investment information, databases, and more.

    The Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) fosters the efficient and effective use of ICT by Australian Government departments and agencies. It provides strategic advice, activities and representation relating to the application of ICT to government administration, information and services. The Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) supersedes in part the former National Office for the Information Economy (NOIE).

    ANTA was a Commonwealth Statutory Authority responsible for the development of a national vocational education and training system in cooperation with States and Territory Governments, the Commonwealth Government and industry. On Friday 22nd October, the Prime Minister announced that, from 1 July 2005, the responsibilities and functions of the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) would be transferred to the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).     The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) was created on 3 December 2007, bringing together elements of the former Departments of Education, Science and Training, Employment and Workplace Relations and the Youth and Early Childhood functions from the Department of Family, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. The department implements government policies and programs to provide education and training opportunities for all Australians, to increase employment participation and to ensure fair and productive workplaces.

    The Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) was subsumed into the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) on 3 December 2007. Content on the DEWR website is being reviewed.

Its goal is to help create a fair and cohesive Australia by strengthening the capacity of individuals, families and communities to contribute to, and benefit from, greater involvement in all aspects of life.
