    This site outlines the ABSTUDY claim forms and gives information about the questions and documentary requirements for customers claiming ABSTUDY.

    The purpose of the ABSTUDY scheme is to address the particular educational disadvantages faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by improving educational outcomes to a level commensurate with the Australian population in general. ABSTUDY policy aims to encourage eligible Indigenous students to take full advantage of available educational opportunities and improve their employment opportunities.

    The ACT Government Grants Portal is where you can find information on and apply for many grant programs. All grant programs are listed under two primary streams: Health and Community Wellbeing Grants, and City and Territory Services Grants.

    All grants offered by the Australian Council for the Arts are listed alphabetically within each board: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts; Community Partnerships; Dance; Inter-Arts; Literature; Major Performing Arts; Music; Theatre; Visual Arts.

    The Australian Overseas Foundation presents annual Australian Overseas Foundation Awards to New Apprentices to study overseas for 12 months. The aim is to provide opportunities for work and study experience to outstanding young people who had completed a certificate of vocational studies, an apprenticeship or traineeship.     This website provides information on the Australian Skills Vouchers initiative. Business Skills Vouchers for Apprentices provide vouchers up to $500 to assist apprentices or newly qualified tradespeople to undertake business skills training. Work Skills Vouchers provide vouchers up to $3000 to assist Australians aged 25 and over to improve their basic skill level to Year 12 or vocational Certificate II.

    The Bob Maza Fellowship is awarded to an established Indigenous actor to further their professional development, provide longevity in their career and raise their profile internationally. The fellowship must be used for international travel to attend: further training or short courses at an international film training institution; and/or meetings with agents; and/or attending castings and establishing contacts in the international arena.

    Information about Austudy - the income support payment for students aged 25 years and over and studying or undertaking an Australian Apprenticeship full-time.

    The Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) provides assistance to low-income families by helping with the costs associated with the education of their children. The website provides information on eligibility, payment amounts, FAQs and letters for parents.
